It has quite a few amenities compared to some of the other communities in the area - it has a swimming pool, club house, basketball court, and tennis court. So, buyers looking for James Island neighborhoods with amenities generally put Bayview Farms at the top of their lists. Home prices in Bayview Farms start in the low to mid $200's and go up to the $600's. Bayview Farms is about 10 minutes away from downtown Charleston and about 10 minutes from the closest beach, Folly Beach.

Cloudbreak Court is a neighborhood with only single family houses in James Island, SC. Cloudbreak Court is off Woodland Shores Road, near the Charleston Municipal Golf Course. Home prices in Cloudbreak Court range from the mid $400's to the mid $500's. The neighborhood is about 5 minutes to downtown and about 10 minutes to the beach.

Country Club is an established neighborhood that is adjacent to the Country Club of Charleston. Some of these homes overlook the Country Club of Charleston Golf Course. These homes sit on large lots, even for James Island standards. Lot sizes go up to a little more than 3/4 acre. Eaglewood Retreat has houses and town homes starting in the low $300's. This is a relatively new neighborhood on James Island. Eaglewood Retreat has a swimming pool and is located off Fort Johnson Road.

Eastwood is an established neighborhood with mostly older homes. Eastwood is one of the few James Island communities overlooking the Charleston Harbor. Eastwood is a relatively quiet neighborhood, and many home buyers like that it has a different feel than some of the other communities. Located off Dills Bluff Road on James Island, this community is less than a 10 minute drive to downtown Charleston.

Lawton Harbor is made up of James Island Homes built after 2000. Lawton Harbor is located on Affirmation Boulevard, which is just off Harborview Road in James Island. So, it's about 15 minutes from Folly Beach and about 10 minutes from downtown Charleston. Lawton Harbor homes range in price from the high $200's to the mid $300's.

Ocean Neighbors is one of the closest neighborhoods to Folly Beach. It is less than a 5 minute drive to the beach and less than 15 minutes to downtown Charleston. Ocean Neighbors is just off Old Military Road in James Island. This community has a 20-acre lake and a children's playground. Also, many of these homes were built after 2000. Ocean Neighbors features only single family homes, which range in price from just under $300,000 to about $500,000.

Parrot Bluff is a marshfront community on James Island that is located off Fort Johnson Road. Home buyers generally like this neighborhood because it has mature trees and lots of traditional brick homes. Most of these homes were built in the late 1990's, and they have good square footage. Parrot Bluff homes also have good acreage, especially for James Island. Lot sizes average around a quarter of an acre. Home prices in Parrot Bluff range from the mid $500's to the high $600's. Parrot Creek is directly beside Parrot Bluff on Fort Johnson Road. Parrot Creek is one of the few gated communities on James Island. Also, Parrot Creek residents can join the Fort Johnson Estates swimming pool to use the facility (which is the next neighborhood down the road). These single family homes are priced from the mid $500's to over $1 million. Parrot Creek is about 10 minutes from Folly Beach and about 10 minutes from downtown Charleston.

Riverland Crossing on James Island features new, small, brick homes. This is a smaller neighborhood located off Riverland Drive. Riverland Crossing is a short, 2 minute drive to the James Island County Park, which has over 600 acres of walking trails, intramural fields, and picnic areas. This community is about 10 minutes from downtown and a little more than 5 minutes to Folly Beach. Homes in Riverland Crossing are priced from mid $200's to low $300's.

Riverland Terrace has houses that were built mostly in the 1940's and 1950's. Since these are older homes, you'll find that they are smaller than average for James Island. Riverland Terrace is off Maybank Highway and is very close to a public play park and a public boat ramp. Also, several of these homes overlook the Charleston Municipal Golf Course on James Island. Home buyers generally don't get as much house for their money in Riverland Terrace, but they are willing to pay more to live in this popular James island neighborhood. Homes in Riverland Terrace start in the low $200's and go up past the $2 million mark. Riverland Terrace is less than 10 minutes from downtown and is about 10 minutes from the beach.

Seaside Plantation features mostly single family homes, but it also has town homes. Townhouses are priced in the low $200's, while the single family homes cost anywhere from the mid $200's to more than $3,000,000. Many of the homes in Seaside Plantation have views of the marsh and tidal creek. Several of these James Island homes have private docks, but there is also a dock for the community to use. Seaside Plantation is located off Secessionville Road in James Island, SC, and it is about 5 minutes away from Folly Beach and about 15 minutes from downtown.

Stiles Point Plantation is located between Harbor View Road and Fort Johnson Road in James Island, SC. Some of the homes have views of the marsh, tidal creek, and even downtown Charleston and the Ravenel Bridge! Stiles Point Plantation features single family homes, which are priced from the mid $400's to well over $3.5 million. Amenities include a 5-acre park with tennis courts, a basketball court, and a play park. Stiles Point is a great location on James Island with a close proximity to downtown, the beach, restaurants, and entertainment.

Stoneboro Court is a smaller James Island community located off Woodland Shores Road. Many of these homes have hardy plank (or cement plank) siding. Also, most of these homes were built after 2000. Unlike many of the newer neighborhoods on James Island, Stoneboro Court has relatively large lots. The average lot size is a little more than .25 acre. Prices for homes in Stoneboro Court range from mid $300's to high $400's.

Westfield Place has new homes built in the Charleston style. Most Westfield Place homes have hardy plank siding, and the average lot size is roughly .5 acre. Wexford Sound is another single family home neighborhood off Secessionville Road in James Island, SC. Homes in Wexford Sound cost anywhere from the low to mid $200's to the high $400's. Many of these James Island homes have marsh views. Wexford Sound amenities include a large pond that is stocked, a community dock, and a play park. And, most of the Wexford Sound houses were built in the 1990's.

White Point Estates has incredible views of the Battery, the Charleston Harbor, and the Ravenel Bridge. It is one of the smallest communities on James Island, and it has one main street running through it - White Point Boulevard. Because of its size, White Point Estates usually only has one or two homes for sale at any given time. But, these homes have some of the best views on James Island!

Woodward Pointe features mostly brick homes that are relatively large for James Island. Many of these homes have 4 or 5 bedrooms, and most are a little under 3,000 square feet. This community has a great selection of high end homes on James Island. Woodward Pointe also has a good location. It's just off Harborview Road, so it's about a 5 minute drive from downtown and about a 10 minute drive to the beach. Woodward Pointe homes range in price from the high $400's to the high $600's. Woodward Pointe is one of our favorite neighborhoods on James Island!
