Food and Drink Events in Charleston, South Carolina

Taste and see what the local Charlestonians have to offer! There are always local events to sample Charleston, South Carolina’s best local foods and beverages. Here are just a few coming up:

  • Sippin’ Saturdays: This weekly event continues through November 2. Each Saturday from 1 to 5 PM, the winery hosts a different music group and local food vendor. Enjoy tastings in the Firefly Vodka distillery and Irvin-House Vineyard winery. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed. Admission is free, and tastings cost $6 for Firefly and $4 for wine. Located at 6775 Bears Bluff Road on rural Wadmalaw Island.
  • Mount Pleasant Towne Centre Market: Every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM you’ll find seasonal produce, food artisans, and giveaways. Farmers include Freeman Produce, Big Smile Peaches, and Gruber Farms. Specialty vendors include Carolina’s Harvest with fruit cobbler mixes, Carolina Crunch which sells locally made granola, 78 Degrees and Sunny vending salsas, dips, veggie chips, pickled vegetables, and more. You will also find hand dyed fabrics, accessories, and gluten-free meal items. The Mount Pleasant Towne Centre (pictured) is located at 1600 Palmetto Grande Drive.   • Bon Appétit Grub Crawl: On Saturday, June 22, this popular national food magazine will host 2 crawls through some of Charleston's best restaurants and bars including Stars, Circa 1886, Xiao Bao Biscuit, Charleston Grill, the Cocktail Club, the Gin Joint, and the Bar at Husk. Guests can choose from the Day or Night crawls. Cost is $149 per crawl.
