Houses for Sale in West Ashley, SC by Neighborhood

west ashley houses for sale

House prices in West Ashley vary drastically according to location. The homes that are closer to downtown Charleston fetch the highest prices, with homes getting more affordable as you get further from the city. West Ashley real estate is divided into two sections. The more expensive section is inside Interstate 526, and these homes are anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes from downtown. For the most part, these homes have brick exteriors and relatively large lots. There are also quite a few that overlook the Ashley River. Homes in this older section of West Ashley are in high demand, and you'll find many that have been renovated.

If you're willing to live further out, you'll be able to get more house for the money outside of Interstate 526. Most of these neighborhoods are newer and have amenities such as pools and tennis courts. These houses are anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes from downtown. Traffic can get quite heavy in some areas, so be sure to let us know where you'll be commuting to work everyday. We'd be happy to talk with you about your options to help avoid this congestion!
