Isle of Palms is known for its newer construction and upscale atmosphere.

Sullivan’s Island is South Carolina’s most historic beach. This is where Charleston’s wealthiest families summered in the late 1800s.

Folly Beach is reminiscent of Key West and is popular for its shabby, laid back atmosphere and surfing.

Wild Dunes is a gated beach resort near Charleston. Home buyers looking for a private setting and full scale amenities generally purchase on Wild Dunes for their vacation home or investment property.

Lois Smith wrote: We just purchased a home in Charleston from Katherine Keadle. We have vacationed on Kiawah Island since 1983, and we fell in love with the area. Being a little out of our price range for a purchase, Katherine showed us something we could afford. Can't wait to try the beaches you recommended.
