Much of Charleston, South Carolina’s tourism industry relies on the beautiful beaches surrounding our historic port city. The 4 beaches that are closest to Charleston are some of the state’s finest, and each has a style all its own.

We’ve created these videos with home buyers in mind. Whether you’re looking to purchase a beach home or simply live in a suburb near one of Charleston’s beaches, these tours should give you a good idea of the lifestyle, entertainment, and history that you can enjoy.

Isle of Palms is known for its newer construction and upscale atmosphere.

Sullivan’s Island is South Carolina’s most historic beach. This is where Charleston’s wealthiest families summered in the late 1800s.

Folly Beach is reminiscent of Key West and is popular for its shabby, laid back atmosphere and surfing.

Wild Dunes is a gated beach resort near Charleston. Home buyers looking for a private setting and full scale amenities generally purchase on Wild Dunes for their vacation home or investment property.

We just purchased a home in Charleston from Katherine Keadle. We have vacationed on Kiawah Island since 1983, and we fell in love with the area. Being a little out of our price range for a purchase, Katherine showed us something we could afford. Can't wait to try the beaches you recommended.
