Center Park's housing options range from 2 bedroom townhomes to 5 bedroom single family houses. Lots on Daniel Island are just under ¼ acre, typically a bit smaller than Mount Pleasant homes in the same price range. (Mount Pleasant is an area that is often compared to Daniel Island because it’s also an upscale suburb but with more affordable prices and better public schools.)
If you purchase a home in Center Park, the HOA dues are around $800 per year and cover common area maintenance and access to the pool at Pierce Park Pavilion (pictured below). Downtown Charleston is only 25 to 30 minutes away. The beaches at Sullivan’s Island and Isle of Palms are 25 minutes, and Mount Pleasant Towne Center is just a 15 minute drive. If you are interested in Daniel Island, Center Park is a lovely neighborhood to consider because of its location.
The schools are part of the Berkeley County School District and include Daniel Island Elementary, Hanahan Middle School, and Hanahan High School. There is also a private Catholic school, Bishop England, and a pre-school on the island which are very popular among residents. Barfield Park is a convenient and beautiful neighborhood to be a part of.
