Charleston Oceanfront Villas features beachfront condos at Folly Beach, SC. Charleston Oceanfront Villas is a gated community and has two swimming pools plus an elevator. These condos are among the few options for buying a beachfront home under $1 million in Charleston. This community is within a block of the Folly Beach Pier, one of the beach's most recognizable landmarks. Charleston Oceanfront Villas is about 15 minutes from downtown Charleston.
Mariners Cay is the most popular condo community in Folly Beach for boaters, as it's about the only option in this price range with boat facilities. Mariners Cay is gated, and amenities include a swimming pool, tennis courts, a club house, marina and dock facilities, and a boat ramp. Mariners Cay is 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Charleston and only a few minutes from Folly Beach. Mariners Cay is on the right just before you go over the bridge to the island of Folly. Since it overlooks the Folly River, these condos have great marshfront views. The only drawback to this condo development is that it was built in the 1980's. Some of the units have been renovated, but there are still quite a few that need cosmetic updating.
Marsh Winds is another marshfront condo community in Folly Beach. It's one of the more affordable condo communities at Folly. Marsh Winds has a swimming pool and is located off Folly Road before you go over the bridge to the island. Marsh Winds is only a few minutes from Folly Beach and a little less than 15 minutes from downtown Charleston. Most of these condos have screened porches and good views of the marsh. These buildings also have elevators.
Pavilion Watch features condominiums with a view of the ocean. They're not directly oceanfront, but they have good views of the beach - and it's only a minute or two's walk to the beach access. Amenities include a swimming pool and a tennis court. Pavilion Watch is about a 5 minute walk from the Folly Beach Pier, which is within view of many of the condos' porches.
Pelican Pointe condos are further away from Folly Beach, but it's still considered part of the Folly area. It's located across from the Harris Teeter grocery store on Folly Road, so it's a little less than 2 miles from the beach. Residents can either drive or ride their bikes to the beach. Pelican Pointe has a nice swimming pool. These were built in 2006 and 2007, so they're some of the newest condos you'll find in the Folly Beach area.
Turn of River overlooks Folly River and has great marshfront views. Turn of River condos have a swimming pool, dock facilities, and an elevator. Most of these condos have screened porches as well. These condominiums are about 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Charleston and only a few minutes' bike ride from Folly Beach.
