Mira Vista and The Peninsula are the two closest James Island condo communities to Downtown Charleston (just 5 minutes away). Folly Beach is also a quick drive of just 10 minutes. Mira Vista amenities include a swimming pool, an upscale club house, and an exercise area.
Home buyers tend to like the colorful exteriors of these buildings which are reminiscent of Charleston and also the easy access to the James Island Connector which is ideal for commuting. (Being able to veer off right from the Connector helps to bypass some of the 5 PM traffic/commuters who are turning left onto Folly Road.)
Keep in mind that Mira Vista has some of the highest monthly regimes in the James Island real estate market, going up to $700/month. (For more affordable fees, you might want to check out the townhouses at Meridian Place!)
