Bayview Farms is popular among buyers wanting amenities like pools and tennis since these can be difficult to find in the James Island real estate market. The very back of Bayview Farms backs up to tidal creeks which open up to the Clark Sound (waterways that eventually open up to the Charleston Harbor and then the Atlantic Ocean). You could take a small skiff out to the harbor at high tide if you own a home backing up to one of these tidal creeks. You’ll find marshfront homes on Tidal View Lane, Salt Marsh Cove, and Wayfarer Lane. Another highly sought after street is Portabella Lane because it circles around the large lake at the amenities center. The many ponds and large oak trees throughout Bayview Farms give this neighborhood a nice Lowcountry feel since newer subdivisions usually have tighter streetscapes. Bayview Farms is located off Fort Johnson Road and is just across from James Island Charter High School. This location is ideal for residents to walk or bike to school, but know that traffic gets busier on weekdays during drop off and pick up. Check out more James Island neighborhoods!
