Brickyard Plantation is one of the few neighborhoods in Mount Pleasant where you can find a large selection of solid brick or brick front homes. Its location midway off Highway 17 (just past Boone Hall Plantation) makes it a much shorter commute than most communities in its price range. Home buyers tend to love the atmosphere of Brickyard Plantation, and boaters enjoy the community dock facilities and boat ramp (hard amenities to find in Mt. Pleasant). You’ll find tons of shopping, restaurant, and movie options within a 10 minute drive. Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island beaches are also just 10 minutes away!
The most affordable subsections of Brickyard are The Colonnade, Boone Grove, and The Preserve. These sections located towards the front the community have a mix of brick, cement plank, and vinyl exteriors. The Colonnade’s only entrance is off Hwy 41 since the marsh and creeks keep it separate from the rest of Brickyard. In the higher priced Daniel’s Landing, Brickyard, and The Landing sections offer larger lot sizes (quarter to half acre) along with homes backing up to the marsh, deep water, or woods.

Brickyard Plantation in Mount Pleasant, SC
Brickyard Plantation is located just past Boone Hall Plantation and the Mt. Pleasant Towne Center on the left hand side of Hwy 17 (traveling north from Downtown Charleston). It is a beautifully established neighborhood that is known for having more traditional, brick homes than other newer subdivisions in the Mt. Pleasant area. Also, the amenities are as nice as they are extensive. They include a large pool, basketball court, tennis courts, exercise area, club house, walking trails, a children' play park, and a community dock and boat ramp. It is unique to have both a dock and boat ramp in your neighborhood, so these amenities really appeal to boat owners wanting convenient water access. HOA dues are about $1,015 per year and cover use of all of the amenities.
Homes in the front sections - The Preserve, Boone Grove, and The Colonnade - are vinyl, hardy plank, and brick mixed for their exteriors. The Colonnade section is the only one with the entrance off of Hwy 41 and does not connect to the rest of the neighborhood due to marsh and creeks. More brick homes appear in the more expensive sections - The Landing, Brickyard, and Daniel's Landing. Lot sizes vary from just under ¼ of an acre to ½ an acre and up once you get in the back sections and include deep water, pond, marsh, and woods.
Brickyard Plantation homes have a broad square footage ranging from 1,600 to 5,000 square feet. These homes were built in the early 1990's up to about 2007. Brickyard is zoned for Jennie Moore Elementary, Cario Middle, and Wando High Schools. Buyers love the convenience of not being off Hwy. 41 or farther down Hwy 17 due to rush hour traffic. From Brickyard Plantation, you can go straight through the light at the entrance onto Hamlin Road. From Hamlin, you can take a right on Rifle Range Road. You never have to get on Hwy 17 in order to get to the Arthur Ravenel Bridge leading to downtown. It takes about 10 minutes to get to Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island beaches, and it takes around 20 minutes to get to Downtown Charleston.
Brickyard is ideal for buyers wanting a convenient location in Mt. Pleasant, traditional brick homes, an established landscape, and additional amenities such as a boat ramp.
