Ravens Run is a gated community on the corner of Rifle Range Road and the Isle of Palms Connector. Mount Pleasant Towne Centre and Seaside Farms Shopping Center are within walking distance to Ravens Run (which is a great feature of the community since Mt. Pleasant is not a very walkable suburb). Most of these homes are at least 3 to 5 bedrooms and 2.5 to 5.5 baths. The square footage ranges from approximately 2,700 to 6,000 square feet. Homes sell for anywhere between about $400K to well over $1 million. Construction in Ravens Run began in the mid 1980’s, and you’ll find several homes that have been recently built. Despite the average size of this community, Ravens Run usually has a minimal selection of homes for sale at any given time due to the spacious lot size. In fact, most of the homes are located on Omni Boulevard. This is the main entrance road, and it’s a large circle with four small roads branching off – Aztec Lane, Vasi Court, Bearing Court, and Azimuth Court.

HOA fees for Ravens Run are approximately $2,100 per year and include the maintenance of common areas such as the lake that runs throughout the neighborhood. (The pictures above show the gated entrance and a community boardwalk that spans part of the lake.) HOA fees also include access to amenities such as the crabbing dock, swimming pool, tennis courts, a racquetball court, boat storage, as well as a 2400 foot private grass landing strip for small aircrafts. Some homes back up to the marsh, creeks, or the lake with gorgeous views. Perhaps the biggest drawback for living in Ravens Run is that the IOP connector can be heard from Omni Blvd on the side closest to the connector. However, this is a great location in Mt. Pleasant. Also, the larger than average lot sizes help to make the homes feel more private (most lots are over 1 acre). Over the years, have also enjoyed the heavy moldings and architectural details along with the great water views. Isle of Palms beach is only a 3 minute drive, downtown Charleston only 20 minutes, Wild Dunes only 5 minutes, and Sullivan’s Island is only 5 minutes, as well. Ravens Run is zoned for Whitesides Elementary, Laing Middle School, and Wando High School. These are all highly ranked schools in the Charleston area. Keep in mind that it’s always a good idea to double check which schools your particular home is zoned for, as zoning is subject to change (and we’re happy to do this for you when we’ve narrowed the search down to a few addresses).
