Weatherstone is located about 5 minutes off Interstate 26 in Summerville (via Exit 199). The prime location is the community’s biggest selling point. Numerous shopping and restaurant options are within just a few minutes, not to mention a movie theater. The turnoff from North Main Street (Alt. US 17) is Holiday Drive, right beside the restaurant Cracker Barrel. Although these roads see a lot of traffic, Weatherstone is still one of the closest Summerville subdivisions to the Interstate for commuters.
The zoned schools for Weatherstone are in the Berkeley County District: Nexton Elementary (which just opened its doors in 2015), Sangaree Intermediate, and Cane Bay High (opened 2008).
The Weatherstone HOA fee is about $320 per year which is quite reasonable when you compare it to other Summerville neighborhoods. Access to the Weatherstone pool, club house, and kids’ play park are included in this annual cost. Weatherstone is a fairly large subdivision, and its main streets include Delafield Drive, Avonshire Drive, Southport Drive, Buckfield Lane, Dovetail Circle, Cotton Hope Lane, Waylon Drive, and Cranston Lane.
