Just 10 minutes from Historic Downtown Summerville, this location is ideal for commuters since there are a lot of crossroads nearby to avoid traffic. The White Gables entrance is directly off Central Avenue which takes you straight to Downtown Summerville. It’s also down from Old Orangeburg Road which connects to Dorchester Road. Getting to Hwy 17A is also easy which is helpful for avoiding congestion. Residents who enjoy walking tend to love the sidewalks lining these charming streetscapes, and a path in the neighborhood is convenient for walking to the Publix grocery store and a few restaurants next door. After showing this community to many buyers over the years, we hear again and again how much folks love these Charleston style homes with double front porches. Almost all of these have detached rear garages with alleys for parking to keep the streetscapes looking so beautiful. Buyers are also impressed with how upscale the White Gables clubhouse is. The biggest drawback to the community is the smaller than average lot size. For buyers who want to downsize or want less yard work, the 0.10-0.15 acre lot is desirable because it’s a manageable size.
