Dockside is a gated community with townhouses as well as a high rise condo building overlooking the Charleston Harbor. Located on the northern end of Concord Street, Dockside is adjacent to the South Carolina Aquarium and the Fort Sumter Boat Tour Station and Museum.
These townhouses were mostly built in 1981 and offer 2 and 3 bedrooms floor plans. However, the majority of homes in Dockside are located in the 19-story condo building which offers unobstructed views of the Ravenel Bridge, Cooper and Ashley Rivers, Aquarium Wharf, or Downtown Charleston (depending on the location within the building). Although the high rise condo building was constructed in 1977, the lobby, library, and heated indoor pool have recently been renovated. Additional amenities include a dock with water and electricity, fitness facility, covered parking, a club room that can be used for private events, and 24 hour security.
