West Ashley is bordered to the north and east by the Ashley River and to the south by the Stono River. Houses in West Ashley with private docks that are located in the southeast section of the suburb provide the best water access.
In price ranges under $700K, it’s very difficult to find homes with good water access. In these cases, buyers usually choose to buy a home on an interior lot or a home with marsh or tidal creek views.
