Home buyers are drawn to Lakes of Summerville because it has some of the lowest prices in all of Summerville. This community is ideal for first time home buyers and as well as folks looking for single story floor plans. It’s hard to even recommend comparable neighborhoods in Summerville because there are so few other options for newer houses with 3 bedrooms and a garage in this price point. Some of the best feedback we hear on this community is that it’s very social and active, and the pool and clubhouse are popular among residents in summer months. For commuters, having 2 neighborhood entrances is also a plus. Keep in mind that the older homes (built around 2005) have larger lots that are about a quarter of an acre. The Lakes of Summerville new homes average about a tenth of an acre.

Lakes of Summerville is made up of both townhomes and single family houses. This is a very large subdivision with two entrances: the Judith Drive entrance is off Miles Jamison Road, and the Salkahatchie entry is off Lincolnville Road. You'll find that most of these homes are on the main roads that wind throughout the community, Savannah River Drive and Coosawatchie Street. The newest homes are located on Brittondale Road.

Toward the back of this Summerville, South Carolina neighborhood, the amenity center includes a swimming pool and club house. The HOA fee is about $350 per year which is quite affordable when you compare it to other Summerville neighborhoods (especially since pool access is included).

You'll find a wide selection of single story floor plans in Lakes of Summerville which are ideal for buyers wanting easy accessibility and no stairs. Most of the houses have 1 to 2 car garages.

It's important to note that Lakes of Summerville does not have one zoned school district. Since it's located on the outskirts of the Charleston County School District, some of these homes are zoned for the North Charleston schools of Ladson Elementary, Northwoods Middle, and Stall High. Other homes are zoned for Dorchester County District Two (Sires Elementary, Alston Middle, and Ashley Ridge High).
